Adele received her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Education, both at the University of New York, Brooklyn College in 1971 and 1976 respectively. She spent 10 years teaching in the Bilingual Program of the New York City School System in Brooklyn, New York from 1971 to 1981.
Adele opened her first Sbarro restaurant franchise in March 1981, laying the groundwork for her family’s food service success.
The family continued to open several Sbarro locations across Illinois and presently owns over a dozen franchises.
